About the Role
Job Summary
The Product Owner (PO) is the primary driver of product value. You are empowered to define requirements, own the product backlog, and act as the final authority on prioritization. This role bridges the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution, ensuring the development team is always working on the most impactful tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Backlog & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap. Own the Jira backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, transparent, and aligned with the Product Goal.
Requirements Engineering: Write high-quality user stories, clear Acceptance Criteria, and functional requirements that minimize ambiguity for developers.
Scrum Leadership: Lead Sprint Planning, Refinement (Grooming), and Reviews. Define clear Sprint Goals and protect the team from scope creep.
Documentation Hub: Maintain a "Single Source of Truth" in Confluence, documenting product decisions, process flows, and roadmap milestones for the entire organization.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the dev team, using data and ROI to manage expectations and negotiate trade-offs.
Quality & Validation: Establish a "Definition of Ready" (DoR) for tasks and validate that delivered increments meet the "Definition of Done" (DoD).
Data-Driven Growth: Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to continuously refine the backlog.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Business, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in a dedicated Scrum environment.
Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Confluence (ability to manage complex boards, filters, and documentation spaces).
Proven ability to say "no" to stakeholders when necessary to protect product integrity.
Preferred Skills
CSPO or PSPO certification.
Basic understanding of system architecture (APIs, databases) to better communicate with developers.
