Job Summary
We are looking for a curious and detail-oriented QA / DevOps Intern to join our Engineering team. This role offers hands-on exposure to software quality assurance and modern DevOps practices, working alongside experienced QA Engineers and DevOps Engineers to help test, automate, and support the reliability of our products and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
● Assist in writing and executing manual test cases based on user stories and Acceptance Criteria.
● Perform functional, regression, and exploration testing across web and/or mobile applications.
● Log, track, and help triage defects using Jira, including clear reproduction steps.
● Support the creation of basic automated test scripts under the guidance of a senior QA engineer.
● Participate in Sprint Planning, Refinement, and Reviews to understand testing scope.
DevOps
● Assist in monitoring CI/CD pipelines and help troubleshoot failed builds or deployments.
● Support basic configuration and maintenance of development, staging, and testing environments.
● Help document deployment processes, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides in Confluence.
● Assist with monitoring application logs and basic system health checks.
● Learn and support containerization and version control workflows (Docker, Git).
Job Requirements
Education
● Currently completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Experience
● No formal work experience required; academic projects, personal projects, or coursework involving testing, scripting, or infrastructure are a plus.
Skills & Competencies
● Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
● Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
● Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, or JavaScript) is a plus.
● Strong attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach to problem-solving.
● Good written and verbal communication skills for logging clear, reproducible bug reports.
● Eagerness to learn Agile/Scrum practices, CI/CD concepts, and cloud fundamentals.
Nice-to-Have
● Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
● Basic familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
● Basic understanding of containerization tools such as Docker.
● Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at a beginner level.
● Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman.
